How to Use This Curriculum Kit

The fruit of the Spirit grows in the hearts and lives of children as they abide in Christ. This curriculum will help children understand what this fruit looks like and encourage them to rely on Jesus to produce it in their lives by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in all believers. Here’s a closer look at what to expect and how to use the lessons in this kit.

Introduction
Each lesson begins with a brief devotional for you to read or summarize. Pictures related to this introduction as well as a definition poster are included to help capture the children’s attention. Teach the definition and use the suggested motions to help the children remember the “big idea” of the lesson. Emphasize this definition throughout the lesson by asking, “What’s the Big Idea?” and having children do the motions as they shout this key truth.

Key Verse
Read the key verse from your Bible and the included verse visual. Explain unfamiliar words or concepts and use the game idea to help children begin learning the verse as you repeat it in a fun way. A playlist of verse songs that can be used to help children memorize each verse is available at YouTube.com/KidsEnjoyingJesus. This section of the lesson plan also includes references for additional key verses that you can read and discuss with the children.

Praise & Worship
Songs are recommended to help you praise God for his work in your lives. These songs are available on YouTube and Spotify for family use. For group/classroom use, follow the website link provided with each song to obtain permission for group use.

Scripture Reading
There are Bible passages for you to read, act out, and discuss together as you look for examples of the fruit of the Spirit in the pages of Scripture. Be sure to study the passage for yourself as you prepare ahead of time, and gather the recommended pictures or items that you can use to engage the children as you teach them from God’s Word.

Discussion
Discussion questions are included along with a fun game idea to help you reinforce and review the truths of each lesson. Often, these questions will highlight gospel truths and emphasize our absolute dependence on Christ. Don’t rush through this. Take time to dwell on and discuss the questions to deepen the children’s understanding.

Activity
Each lesson ends with a play-based activity to help children respond to what they’ve learned about God in an interactive way. Most of these activities will include a time of prayer and discussion. A coloring page is included to help engage the children as you lead the activity.

I’m very glad and grateful to God for the site and the wonderful resources. I’ve been looking for kids-friendly resources that combine visuals and hands-on activities. I’m sure my Bible study classes with tke kids will be very interesting and they will really appreciate.
Once again, thank you for the great job you are doing for the Kingdom, and especially for preparing the seed for a divine takeover.

    Blessed to be a blessing
