Dive In! Series Overview
John 21:7 says Peter literally dove into the sea upon realizing Jesus was waiting on the shore. As you use these lessons, ask God to help the kids you teach be just as eager to dive into his word to know the deep, deep love of Jesus for themselves. Be sure to prepare ahead of time by reading through the material for yourself and gathering any necessary supplies. Here’s a closer look at the parts of every lesson to help leaders plan and prepare. Dive in and take a look!
Lesson 1: Jesus Calls Peter – Through a miraculous catch of fish, Jesus helped Peter to see that he was a Savior worth following. In this lesson, children will catch some fish of their own as you teach them about why it’s so awesome and important to know and follow Jesus.

Lesson 2: Jesus Calms the Storm – Jesus uses a terrible stormy sea to help the disciples believe in him as Savior and King. This lesson encourages children to also follow our mighty Savior who is able to rescue them from sin and care for them through trials, temptations, and troubles.

Lesson 4: Jesus Forgives Peter – Peter turned his back on Jesus right before his death! Imagine his relief when Jesus forgave and restored him. In this lesson, children will hear the good news that Jesus can forgive their sin and be encouraged to respond with faith and gratitude to the Savior.

They can believe this good news and share it others!
