Big Idea: God the King is great and good!

Key Verse: Psalm 47:7 “God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!”

Story Excerpt:Kings and queens wear crowns to show everyone they are in charge of a kingdom or country. It’s a reminder of their authority and power as the person in charge. Have you ever worn a crown? Did you know our hearts want to wear a crown that actually belongs to God? God is the greatest King of all kings. He is the perfect loving King who created the universe. He is in charge of everything – even you, but your heart wants to be king instead of God. The Bible talks a lot about our hearts. In fact, the word “heart” is used over 700 times in the Bible! When the Bible uses the word “heart” it’s usually talking about who you really are on the inside. This is the part of you that thinks, feels, and chooses. Let’s take a look at what the Bible says about the real you, your heart. (Read Jeremiah 17:9.) The Bible tells us there is a huge problem in your heart!
