God is Holy

Would you eat a beautiful piece of cake if you knew there was poison in it? No way! Even a little bit of poison would spoil the cake. This is a simple illustration to teach kids about sin and holiness. Having even a little bit of sin or badness in something spoils it. Our hearts and our world are full of sin and it causes horrible problems. In this Bible lesson, kids will learn that God is not like us. He is holy. This means he is totally perfect and separate from sin. And because of his great love, he made the way to save us from sin so we can be forgiven and live in close friendship with our holy God forever.
